You can apply to receive support through the Organic Undervine Mentoring Programme.

 

What it is:

Organic Winegrowers NZ will pair you up with an experienced organic grower mentor. Over the course of the season, your mentor will visit your vineyard up to three times and give guidance on undervine weed management practices.

 

Who qualifies:
The programme is open to newly organic growers, as well as conventional growers looking to change their practices. Growers in all regions are welcome to apply. Participation will depend on availability of a suitable mentor in your area.

Participant numbers are limited. Priority is given to early applicants.

 

Costs: Each mentee pays a $500 participation fee for the season. This is far below the commercial rate for a consultancy; OWNZ subsidises this programme in order to pay mentors for their time.
